Council Information

In terms of the Solicitors (Scotland) Act 1980 the Council of the Law Society of Scotland is the primary decisionmaking body.  In recent years a number of subordinate functions have been delegated to Committees. The operation of Council is under regular review to ensure its relevance and efficiency in todays ever changing business environment.
