IBA Conference 2007
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the International Bar Association (IBA). The remit of the IBA is to influence the development of international law reform and to shape the future of the legal profession throughout the world. It has a membership of 30,000 individual lawyers and more than 195 bar associations and law societies spanning all continents.
This year, the IBA is holding its annual conference in Singapore from 14-19 October. It will be the largest international legal conference ever held in Asia. Registration figures indicate that more than 120 nations will be represented at the meeting by the 3,300 delegates so far listed to attend.
