The Society's online locum register and the Society's recruitment service, www.lawscotjobs.co.uk, run in parallel.
The Society hosts a register of practitioners who are available to work as locums. There are currently over 50 qualified solicitors from all over Scotland who may from time to time be registered on the Society's online locum register, are experienced in a variety of subjects and who may be available to take up locum placements.
Locum practitioners may be:
The online register is accessed via the members' area of the website, using the login credentials needed to access the area to update CPD etc. Practitioners wishing to be known as potential locums should complete details of their personal categories of work within the members' area of the website.
Entry into the register is free of charge for candidates and for firms enquiring for availability of potential locum assistance.
Locums may take up work in any number of flexible ways, by agreement with the employer, for example:
