Guidance to Licensing Authorities 4th edition

The Gambling Commission seeks views on the new edition of its Guidance to Licensing Authorities (GLA4). This is statutory guidance on the functions of licensing authorities required under the Gambling Act 2005. The guidance was last published in May 2009 and this new edition provides updates when necessary as well as incorporating material published in other formats since then.

Proposed Alcohol (Public Health and Criminal Justice) (Scotland) Bill

This is a proposal for a Bill to promote public health and reduce alcohol-related offending through: (a) restrictions on the retailing and advertising of alcoholic drinks; (b) changes to licensing laws; (c) obligations on Scottish ministers to issue guidance and report; (d) directing offenders towards treatment or restricting their access to alcohol. The Bill is proposed by Dr Richard Simpson MSP and Graeme Pearson MSP.

Scottish Government consultation on proposals to amend Proof of Age Regulations

The consultation considers amendments to the list of acceptable documents for the sale of alcohol, tobacco and the use, hire and sale of sunbeds to persons under 18 years of age.

Consultation on Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 (Metal Dealers' Exemption Warrants) Order 2012
