Scottish Civil Courts Review
The Report of the Civil Courts Review chaired by the Rt Hon Lord
Gill is an ambitious document and could potentially bring the
greatest changes to the Civil Courts in Scotland for over a
century. It identifies a number of structural and other
weaknesses currently affecting the civil courts in Scotland, and
makes recommendations designed to make radical improvements.
If implemented, the report's recommendations will dramatically
alter the delivery of civil justice in Scotland.
This document sets out the views of the Society's Civil Justice
Committee in relation to the report.
