Alcohol (Minimum Pricing) (Scotland) Bill

The Scottish Government introduced the Bill in October 2011, its aim is to make provision about the price at which alcohol may be sold from licensed premises; and for connected purposes.

Commons Select Committee Enquiry on the Gambling Act 2005

The Culture, Media and Sport Committee launched in May, a new inquiry in into gambling, looking in particular at the implementation and operation of the Gambling Act 2005.

The Committee invited written submissions and views on a number of issues including how effective the Act has been in meeting its core objectives.

Initial Consultation on Social Responsibility Levy


This consultation paper, published by the Scottish Government, sets out the broad framework of the social responsibility levy as provided for in sections 10 and 11 of the Alcohol etc. (Scotland) Bill. The paper sought views on the detail of this levy.
