Mental Health Strategy for Scotland: 2011-15 a
consultation
This is a Scottiah Governmnet consultion which outlines
proposals for a new national mental health strategy bringing
together work to improve mental health services and mental health
improvement. Proposals intend to build on the current approach and
seek Stakeholder's views on the direction of travel for the next 4
years to further improve mental health outcomes.
Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 - Consultation on
Certification of Incapacity for Medical Treatment under Part 5
Section 47
This consultation seeks views on four issues on Adults with
Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 Part 5 in relation to medical
treatment.The issues are: widening the range of institutions which
can offer training, whether dentists should be required to
undertake training for this purpose;whether multiple section 47
medical treatment certificates should be required in some
circumstances;and whether other medical practitioners not specified
should be enabled to certify incapacity for medical treatment
Patient Rights (Scotland) Act 2011 Consultation on Secondary
Legislation
The purpose of the consultation is to seek views on the
proposed secondary legislation which will provide more detail about
how the Act should be implemented, and the steps that relevant NHS
Bodies and, where appropriate, relevant service providers must take
to make sure the provisions within the Act are implemented and
delivered.
HMRC Consultation Definition of Incapacitated Person
This HMRC consultation sought views on how best to modernise the
definition of "incapacitated person" for direct taxes. The
definition is mainly used for individuals within Income Tax Self
Assessment (ITSA); incapacitated persons are relieved of the need
to inform HMRC about their tax affairs and the duty to do so is
transferred on to an appropriate person.
Amendment to Rule 58 of the Mental Health Tribunal for Scotland
(Practice and Procedure) (No. 2) Rules 2005: Rule 58: Power to
decide case without a hearing
This consultation seeks views only on the Tribunal's proposal
that its power to decide a case without a hearing under rule 58 be
amended. Depending on the results of the consultation, the Scottish
Government would then look at laying any amending statutory
instrument to make a change to rule 58 in the Scottish Parliament
in June, with the intention that it come into force in the
autumn.
Mental Capacity - DRAFT OFT guidance for Creditors
A consultation to clarify what the OFT would expect from
creditors, in terms of identifying borrowers who might lack
the mental capacity to make informed borrowing decisions,
and what the OFT would expect from creditors, in terms
of the practices and procedures they employ in
dealing appropriately with such borrowers.
