As part of their wide-ranging review of Trust Law which began in
2003, the Scottish Law Commission published their 8th in a series
of discussion papers in April this year. This latest paper,
seeks to gather further views on a small number of topics on which
the Commission has already consulted, as well as asking for
comments on a few new and general issues.
Succession Law in Scotland: Review of Financial Limits of Prior
Rights and Confirmation to Small Estates: A Consultation Paper
This Scottish Government consultation paper sought views on the
potential for uprating financial limits regarding Prior Rights of a
surviving spouse or civil partner on intestacy and Confirmation to
small estates.
