Accredited specialists
The Law Society of Scotland's specialist accreditation
scheme
Introduction
The Society's specialist accreditation scheme was established in
1990. The exceptional quality and skill of accredited specialists
under the scheme is recognised throughout Scotland. Around 450
solicitors are accredited specialists.
The accreditation scheme offers recognition of solicitors who
develop specialist knowledge during their careers, and also
helps the public choose a solicitor with the necessary
expertise, particularly in more complex cases.
