Comment on new Dean of the Faculty of Advocates

Commenting on the announcement that James Wolffe QC is to be the new Dean of the Faculty of Advocates, Bruce Beveridge, President of the Law Society of Scotland, said: "I'd like to offer my warmest congratulations to James on being elected Dean of the Faculty of Advocates.

"I'm looking forward to building on the foundations of our existing relationship which will ensure that my successor, Alistair Morris, and the rest of the team at the Law Society, can continue to work positively with the Faculty of Advocates on issues.

"We very much look forward to meeting with James and his new vice dean as soon as that role has been filled."
