Rule B8.2: ARTL Mandates
8.2.1 In this rule 8.2, unless the context
otherwise requires terms listed in the first column of rule 8.2.1
shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in the second
column of that rule:

8.2.2 You shall neither authenticate, nor
apply for registration in the Land Register of, a document created
as an electronic communication within the ARTL System on behalf of
any person unless you have obtained a mandate in your favour
subscribed by that person authorising the authentication and
registration of that document.
8.2.3 You shall, within 14 days of
applying for registration in the Land Register within the ARTL
System, send the principal of each mandate obtained in terms of
rule 8.2.2 to the Keeper for archiving and return to you.
8.2.4 You shall retain the principal of each
mandate obtained in your favour in terms of rule 8.2.2 in
accordance with guidance issued from time to time by the
Council.
