APTITUDE TEST FOR EU QUALIFIED LAWYERS

The Law Society of Scotland's Aptitude Test for EU Qualified Lawyers is held in MAY and NOVEMBER each year.

The Aptitude Test is an "open book" test and candidates are permitted to take into the examination hall any books or materials, including candidate's own notes.

Past exam question papers for the Aptitude Test are available free of charge for download. There are four papers and these consist of:

Paper 1 - The Law of Property, Including Trusts & Succession and Family Law
Paper 2 - Scottish Legal System, Including Evidence and Civil & Criminal Procedure
Paper 3 - European Community Law and Institutions
Paper 4 - Professional Conduct and The Accounts Rules

The exam question papers are provided as an indication as to the likely questions which may be asked and to assist the candidate when studying.  Answers are not provided.
