Paralegal Training

Update have for the past few years been offering CPD training events specifically designed to meet the requirements of paralegals in Scotland.

Update DO NOT offer courses to qualify as a paralegal, but do run updates on various topical issues to assist paralegals with continuous professional development.

Paralegals can attend any of the Update seminars throughout the course of the year.  Discounts are available and places will be available at the season ticket price as opposed to the full registration fee.

Paralegals can also claim CPD hours through CPD Online - Update's web based distance learning modules.

Whilst the Society does not impose CPD requirements on paralegals, those who are members of the Scottish Paralegal Association (SPA) or the Society of Specialist Paralegals (SSP) require to undertake 10 hours in each practice year.
