Craig Findlater
Since calling to the bar in 2012 Craig has been involved in thousands of cases including some of the largest and most complicated trials to be heard in the High Court of Justiciary in that time, as well as some of the most important criminal appeals. Craig enjoys a reputation for being hard working, knowledgeable, and affable, which is reflected in his popularity among his colleagues at the bar and with instructing agents.
Craig has an interest in all areas of criminal law, and particularly enjoys cases raising complex and difficult issues, factual and legal.
In addition to his busy practice at the bar, Craig was elected Treasurer of FACBA (the Faculty of Advocates Criminal Bar Association) five times by his peers between 2015 and 2019 before standing aside. He is also a reporter for Session Cases; regularly delivers CPD for FACBA around Scotland; is a co-ordinator of the Faculty’s Mini-Devils scheme; and is the Scottish Co-ordinator for the Young Citizens School Mock Trial competition.
