Law Society President, Amanda Millar, invites you to join her for a virtual meeting for all solicitor members in Perth, Dundee, Arbroath and Forfar.
This meeting is an opportunity to find out more about the Law Society’s key areas of response to the Covid-19 crisis, including:
- Our ongoing work with stakeholders such as Scottish Courts and Tribunal Services and Registers of Scotland;
- Financial and wellbeing support for firms and solicitors;
- Signposting towards significant practice updates; and
- Regulatory and compliance changes for the legal profession.
Amanda will also look ahead to some of her key priorities during her presidency, which include a focus on technology, mental health and inclusion in the profession. She will also consider how solicitors can build practical resilience in the current climate and where the Society can offer technical assistance and development opportunities to support this.
Most importantly, we know the enormous pressure the current crisis is placing on the legal profession and we want to hear from you on your main concerns for the weeks and months ahead. The event will be interactive and there will be plenty of opportunity for you to ask questions or discuss issues affecting you and your business or organisation during the session.
If you have any particular areas you’d like Amanda to cover at the event, please contact Beth Anderson.
More information on how to join will be sent the day before the meeting.
