On the introduction of the Legal Writings (Counterparts and Delivery) (Scotland) Bill, Michael Clancy, Director of Law Reform at the Society, said: "We are pleased to see this Bill being introduced into the Scottish Parliament. We are fully supportive of its aims to modernise the law relating to legal documents, which will speed up transactions and allow traditional documents to be delivered by electronic means.

"We will be considering the Bill in full detail and we will be providing written evidence to Scottish Parliament in due course."
