Andrea Summers

Andrea began her career as a solicitor in private commercial practice. After working as member of the defence team on the Lockerbie trial in the Netherlands, she specialised in human rights and public law. Andrea joined the Scottish Government Legal Directorate in 2005 and advised principally on criminal justice issues. Since 2011, she has worked on the Vale of Leven Hospital Inquiry, the Penrose Inquiry and was appointed as the Solicitor to the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry in 2015.
