Twenty one years’ experience of teaching law in various universities in the UK. Currently Meera is the head of Business, Social Science s and Law at International Study Centre which partners with University of Sussex. Meera is the Joint General Secretary for the Commonwealth Legal Education Association (CLEA) which involves promoting legal education in all the Commonwealth countries through organising workshops for teachers and students in curriculum development and critical thinking and street law. She is also involved in co-ordinating CLEA biannual Moot competitions open to all the commonwealth countries and CLEA Essay Competition which is again open to all the law students within the Commonwealth countries.

Meera is involved in the working group for the implementation of Latimer House Principles in Commonwealth Countries where the Principles provide an effective framework for the implementation of the Commonwealth’s fundamental values of democracy, good governance, human rights and the rule of law and became an integral part of these values following agreement by the Commonwealth Heads of Government at their meeting in 2005. She is on the Editorial Board of Student Law Journal of Lloyd Law College, India and currently involved in the project in organising 70 lectures in 70 different Institutions from around the Commonwealth to celebrate 70 years of Commonwealth span over 2022 and 2023 on various topics such as promoting street law, promoting human rights, prison reforms and constitutional law reforms.
