Phishing Trip

  5. Phishing Trip

The Law Society is working with the master policy brokers, Lockton, insurers RSA and cyber security awareness specialists Vyus, to run a one-off phishing exercise.

Phishing is one of the most common cyber threats and exercises like this help to remind employees to remain vigilant. It will also help us to build up a picture of the types of threats that law firms across Scotland are vulnerable to.

How it works
  • We will send a random sample of your colleagues a fake email and then track how many open the emails, the number of clicks on the phishing links and which version of the fake emails are the most convincing.
  • Those who fail the phishing test will be taken to a webpage showing them what they missed, the lessons they can learn and the steps they can take to prevent themselves from falling victim to a real phishing attack.
  • You will be provided with a detailed follow-up report giving the findings, helping you to understand the key risks uncovered and recommendations for improving threat prevention and employee resilience.
  • Neither the Law Society, Lockton nor RSA will not receive identifying information about those who participate in the exercise. We will only receive anonymised data so we can analyse trends and identify key threats.

Register your interest here https://www.vyus.com/phishing-trip/ or email lawscot@vyus.com

Please register by the close of business Friday 8 April 2022.

Sorry - registration is now closed.

For any firms who have concerns about their current levels of cybersecurity, we recommend that you contact our strategic partner for cybersecurity, Mitigo.
