Step into Tutoring

Are you interested in sharing your paralegal expertise and supporting the next generation of legal professionals?

Robert Gordon University is looking for senior paralegals to deliver the fourth module of its Paralegal Practice course, starting in September 2025. If you are a senior paralegal working in one of the following areas of law, this could be an excellent opportunity for professional development!

Tutoring opportunities are available for paralegals working in:

  • Residential Conveyancing
  • Family Law
  • Debt Recovery
  • Wills and Executries

Tutors will be responsible for teaching a small group of students, guiding them through their chosen practice area with structured online lectures and interactive discussions. Teaching consists of one-hour live tutorials every fortnight over a 10-week period (six hours total), with additional time allocated for creating and recording lectures and materials in advance.

No formal teaching or tutoring experience is required, as full support will be provided by RGU in developing module content and materials.

The role offers £45 per hour for preparing content and delivering teaching on short-term contracts.

RGU aims to onboard suitable candidates quickly so they can develop the modules over the summer semester before teaching begins in September.

If you or any of your colleagues are interested in this excellent development opportunity or would like more details, please contact lauramcbain@lawscot.org.uk
