Countdown is on to be named among Scotland’s best solicitors – how to get involved in 2025

27th March 2025

The deadline for entries to this year’s Scottish Legal Awards is rapidly approaching. Firms and practitioners have just a matter of weeks left to get involved.

Now in its 22nd year, the event celebrates the achievements of Scotland’s solicitors and broader legal profession.

Last year, winners included MBM Commercial (Firm of the Year), Cashroom (Legal Technology Award), Janet Hood (Law Champion of the Year, Posthumously), Stephen McGowan (Lawyer of the Year) and Lady Dorrian (Lifetime Achievement).

The 2025 Scottish Legal Awards is raising funds for two important organisations: Lawscot Foundation and It’s Good 2 Give.

Judging and Deadline

Lorna Jack, renowned for her extensive experience in the Scottish legal sector, will lead a distinguished panel of judges tasked with reviewing and debating the entries.

The entry deadline is set for 12 noon on Monday, 28th April 2025. The winners will be unveiled at the Scottish Legal Awards Annual Dinner, hosted by broadcaster Des Clarke, on Thursday September 18, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Glasgow Central.
