Hyundai Kia NOx Emissions Group Proceedings

15th April 2026

Notice is hereby given that on 9 April 2026, the Court of Session made an order granting permission for group proceedings to be brought by Iain Malloch as representative party on behalf of members of the group against (First) Hyundai Motor Company; (Second) Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech S.R.O.; (Third) Hyundai Assan Otomotiv Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS; (Fourth) Kia Slovakia S.R.O.;(FIFTH) Kia Corporation; (SIXTH) Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center GmbH; (SEVENTH) Hyundai Capital UK Limited; (EIGHTH) Hyundai Motor UK Limited; and (Ninth) Kia UK Limited.

 

The group proceedings relate to claims arising in Scotland from the NOx emissions issues affecting Hyundai and Kia diesel engines manufactured to Euro 5 or Euro 6 emissions standards (Excluding Euro 6d and Euro 6d-TEMP).

 

Individuals who have not previously made a claim in the group proceedings but wish to do so should contact Thompsons, the solicitors acting for the representative party, at the contact details noted below.
