This is your last chance to enter BWS Women in Law Awards
Time is running out to nominate yourself or a peer for these inaugural awards which celebrate women in the Scottish legal profession.
Backed by Business Women Scotland (BWS), the awards will culminate with a prize-giving lunch in Glasgow in March.
The hope is that the awards, sponsored by Sharri Plimbley, will celebrate excellence, champion equality and inspire a new generation of women in law.
Entries for this year's inaugural awards close on Friday, February 6 and the awards lunch will be held in Glasgow on Thursday, March 12.
The Law Society of Scotland has also thrown its weight behind the event.
In a post, BWS founder Lynne Kennedy MBE said: "The awards feature 14 categories, celebrating and supporting women working across the legal profession. The nomination process is straightforward and inclusive you can self-nominate, nominate your business, or nominate a person or organisation you believe deserves recognition.
"Our thanks go to Laura Marie Meldrum who has helped bring these awards to life. We are incredibly proud to be launching the first awards in Scotland dedicated exclusively to women in law, and we look forward to shining a spotlight on the talent, dedication, and achievements of women across the profession."
The awards are open to individuals and teams in private practice and in-house, at law firms and companies based in Scotland or providing services in Scotland.
The closing date for entries, Friday, February 6, is also the cut-off for assessing eligibility. PQE should be calculated as of this date where applicable, and for Trainee Solicitor of the Year, judges will consider achievements during the trainee period, even if the candidate has since qualified.
If you are nominating yourself, you will need to complete entry forms and include supporting evidence. If nominating someone else, no supporting evidence is required, instead the organisers will contact the nominee to check they are happy to be entered and ask for supporting evidence.
