DocuSign

DocuSign is a Trusted Service Provider of Advanced Electronic Signatures (AES) and Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES)

DocuSign is a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QSTP) in Europe and is authorised to issue Advanced and Qualified signatures across the European Union, in accordance with the European eIDAS regulation of 2014 and the United Kingdom’s Electronic Identification and Trust Services for Electronic Transactions Regulations of 2016.

As part of the DocuSign Agreement Cloud, DocuSign offers electronic and digital signatures that streamline processes and automate workflows, it also helps standardise and analyse contract language and centrally store all in your agreements.

DocuSign offers eSignature, the world's #1 electronic signature solution, Advanced Electronic Signature (AES), Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) and Witnessed Electronic Signature (WES).

As an approved supplier of the Law Society of Scotland, we offer members:

  1. Simple electronic signature (SES) is the most basic electronic signature available. It does not require strong signer authentication or ID verification. For transactions that can use this type of signature, it is enough to know the signer’s email address, or that they received a unique access code before signing.
  2. Advanced electronic signature (AES) includes a digital certificate that links the signature to a verified ID with some fundamental rules as to how this ID has been verified. These digital certificates are usually issued by a Trust Service Provider (TSP) also known as a Certificate Authority (CA).
  3. Qualified electronic signature (QES) includes a qualified digital certificate that indicates that identity verification has been completed face-to-face. The qualified certificates can only be issued by a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) authorised by regulatory bodies who assess the QTSP security standards.
