D9.1: Prohibition on multi-disciplinary practices
9.1.1 In this rule 9 unless the context otherwise requires, terms listed in the first column of rule 9.1.1 shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in the second column of that rule:

means a body corporate or partnership: (a) having as one of its managers a regulated person; and (b) which offers services, including professional services, such as are provided by individual solicitors, to the public; and (c) where a regulated person carries out, or supervises the carrying out, or makes provision of legal services. |
9.1.2 Subject to rule 9.1.3, you shall not form a legal relationship with a person or body who is not a regulated person with a view to your jointly offering professional services as a multi-disciplinary practice to any person or body.
9.1.3 Nothing in this rule 9.1 shall prohibit you from being a member, director or employee of, or partner or investor in, a licensed provider.
