Wellbeing business practices

Wellbeing strategies should not be held in isolation from other practices within the organisation. Our webinars on the business case for Wellbeing and Mental Health in the workplace give you an opportunity to learn from others.

Psychosocial risks are elements of the employee experience that affect workers psychological response to their work activities and workplace conditions.

Psychosocial risks can lead to stress and musculoskeletal disorders that are occupational risks. Therefore, it may be useful to include elements of staff wellbeing in your risk management and health and safety strategies. The relevant occupational standard from the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety is ISO45003.

The Health and Safety Executive have created the Working Minds Campaign as a resource to help employers delve into their legal obligations. Based on the principles of risk assessment, the bitesize learning provides a step-by-step guide to help businesses understand ways to prevent work related stress and encourage good mental wellbeing.
