Event is free

We've partnered with Hot Yoga Edinburgh, the independent yoga studio most local to our Edinburgh office, to bring you a one-off class.

Yoga can be a great way to feel good and is often recommended as a way to reduce stress, increase mental wellbeing and improve physical health.

This session is free of charge to our members and will be available to a maximum of 22 attendees in-person and 100 online.

What to expect from the session

This practice is designed to be accessible for everybody, whether you are brand new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner. The highly-trained teacher will give clear instructions and offer modifications to poses so that each participant can find their own maximum stretch. There is a strong emphasis on breathing deeply and paying attention to your own body, doing no harm to yourself as you move through your practice.

The carefully curated sequence will include standing, balancing and floor poses to give a full body stretch, while the focus on breathing leaves the mind feeling calm and focussed.

If you're taking part at home, all you need to take part in the practice is a quiet corner of your home, a yoga mat or non-slip surface, a blanket and a book or yoga block.

If you are joining us in the studio, you don't need to bring anything other than some comfortable clothing.

How to sign up

To book your place free of charge, visit Hot Yoga Edinburgh's class schedule and find the session on Wednesday 17 May at 1.15pm, called 'Lawscot Members yoga'. Please note you will need to use the web version rather than the app.

Select whether you want to attend the in-person or online class, then create an account and 'select single reservation' to book the class. Enter the promotional code LawScot17052023 and the class will show as free of charge.

Please note that spaces are very limited for the in-person session due to the studio capacity, so book early to avoid disappointment. The booking system will close one hour before the session start time.

Any questions?

Email oliviamoore@lawscot.org.uk for questions about your eligibility to join the session, or if you have a question about the promo code.

Send any other questions regarding booking or joining the class to Hot Yoga Edinburgh: info@hotyogaedinburgh.com.
