Inspire Inclusion is the theme for the 2024 International Women’s Day. In collaboration with LegalWomen magazine, we are delighted to mark this event with a lunchtime reception with The Right Hon Lady Dorrian.

Lady Dorrian was admitted as an advocate in 1981 and appointed QC in 1994, one of only five women QCs in Scotland at that time. In Lady Dorrian’s exceptional career, she became the first female Lord Justice Clerk and President of the Second Division of the Inner House of the Court of Session. As such, she is an ideal person to reflect on inclusion in the profession, how far we’ve come and how to ensure progress continues. She will talk to Coral Hill, Founder and editor-in-chief of LegalWomen.

We shoulder responsibility for change as a profession and lawyers of all genders are most welcome to attend.

Please join us for a light lunch between 12:30 – 1:00pm followed by discussion and time for Q&As.

If you are unable to attend the networking event in-person, you can tune in for the discussion remotely. Please enquire at the address below.

Book your place by emailing us at memberservices@lawscot.org.uk, including any dietary or access requirements. Note that spaces are limited on a first come first serve basis, so please register as soon as possible.

Legal Women Magazine is grateful for the ongoing support from business development and marketing consultancy Donaghey & Chance.
