Ahead of the Scottish Parliament elections on 7 May, we have brought together justice spokespeople from across the Scottish Parliament to debate the key challenges and priorities shaping Scotland’s legal sector and justice system.

This exclusive online hustings will be steered by our recently published election priorities document, Justice Matters – What Scotland’s Political Parties Must Deliver at the 2026 Parliament Election.

The event will give Law Society of Scotland members a unique opportunity to hear directly from policymakers, to question their positions, and to engage in informed discussion ahead of polling day.

Our Election Priorities document, sets out our vision for:

1.               Respecting the rule of law and championing human rights

2.               Making good laws through clear and workable legislation

3.               Delivering access to justice to all who need it

4.               Modernising our justice system for the future

5.               Broadening Scotland’s Legal Talent Pipeline

6.               Making justice and the law a catalyst for economic growth

If you require any further information, or wish to put forward a question to the panel, please send to Policy@lawscot.org.uk in advance of the event.
