Have you qualified in the last five years and are you currently working as an in-house solicitor? Join us for an exclusive event hosted by representatives of the Law Society of Scotland's In-house Lawyers Committee and one of our new lawyers Council members.

Come together with peers to share your experiences, insights and aspirations in a relaxed and supportive environment. We'll explore themes such as:

  • Navigating the transition from trainee to qualified solicitor
  • Career goals and the support you need to achieve those
  • Celebrating successes and identifying challenges you’ve experienced
  • The importance of looking after your wellbeing

We're keen to find out more about your journey in the legal profession so far and how the Law Society can help to support you further.

To register, please email us at inhouse@lawscot.org.uk. Confirm which organisation you work for and what PQE level you are at. Please note that spaces on the roundtable will be capped and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Connection details will be sent to all participants the day before the event.

Legal Foundations

This new series is designed for solicitors in the first few years post-qualification to come together and talk openly about their early experiences in the profession. Each session offers a chance to exchange ideas, reflect on the transition into qualified practice, and discuss career ambitions, challenges, and wellbeing in a supportive setting. It's also a space to connect with others at a similar stage and help shape how we support the profession in its early years.

You can find out more about our career support and advice here: Career support and advice | Law Society of Scotland

Legal foundations: Quiz night Aberdeen

As part of our Legal Foundations series, designed for solicitors in the first few years post-qualification, we're hosting a quiz night at SOBR (Scotland's first alcohol-free bar), where you’ll have the chance to meet and mingle with other NQs for an evening of trivia, networking and good company.
