Women in law – a session with Sheila Webster

Join us to hear from our panel of superstar women working in law on what they see as the positives and challenges of being a women in the legal sector, along with possible future improvements. Law Society of Scotland President Sheila Webster will be joined by solicitors Nicola Rylatt and Laura Meldrum to share some of their own experiences along with what they’ve observed on positive employment practices and useful resources.

Who is this session for

Everyone in the legal sector will benefit from their insights on the challenges of being a woman working in the law and how understanding can make the profession a better place.

Session content
  • Discussion around the challenges faced by women including hormonal health, miscarriage and the menopause
  • Societal and self-imposed expectations
  • Positive wellbeing practices and experiences

The aim of the session is to raise awareness of some of the challenges faced by women please note this session may contain themes that some people may find distressing.
