Details of brokerage of Master Policy from 1 January 2017

From 1 January 2017 Lockton will be the Master Policy Insurance Broker following the tender for the brokerage earlier this year. 

Lockton from this date have full responsibility for all aspects of the administration of the Master Policy including notification of claims and circumstances, changes of principal or contact details and policy queries concerning the Master Policy. 

Lockton will also be responsible for running the risk management programmes under the Master Policy. Articles about Lockton have appeared in the Journal from November 2016.

From 1 January 2017 Lockton will be writing a monthly Journal article on all aspects of the Master Policy and risk management. There will also be an opportunity for members to meet the Lockton team in a series of meetings over the course of the first half of next year. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday 17 January 2017 at 5.45pm in the Society’s office in Edinburgh.

Please note that from 1 January 2017 all enquiries on historic claims under the Master Policy are to be directed to Lockton.

Meet and greet with Lockton

We are holding a series of meet and great sessions where members will have an opportunity to be introduced to the team at Lockton.

The next session will take place in Dundee on Tuesday 21 February 2017 from 1pm to 2pm. It will be held in the offices of Thorntons Law LLP , Whitehall House, 33 Yeaman Shore, Dundee DD1 4BJ.

The Lockton Team, Murray Etherington – Chairman of the Insurance Committee and David Cullen, Registrar of the Law Society will all attend. Invitations will be sent out to all practices in Dundee and the surrounding area in early February.
