Not yet registered with ScotLIS? Professional Practice Update
Registers of Scotland is withdrawing Registers Direct, its legacy service for accessing registers, on 30 November 2018.
Scotland's land information service (ScotLIS), launched in October 2017, will replace it fully. Solicitors not already registered can use ScotLIS with immediate effect using their existing Registers Direct log in credentials.
ScotLIS centralises RoS land and property data in a single service that also includes a searchable, interactive map with data layers that can be toggled on and off, to show contextual details for properties in Scotland. It also offers the ability to move between Land Register and Sasine Register records for a given search enquiry. ScotLIS users can also download or email complete title information at the click of a button. Customers will still access the eservices portal as normal for e-forms, Advance Notices, Reports, Digital Discharge Service, ARTL.
