Blackadders hires Glasgow residential property head

17th January 2018 | careers

Solicitors' firm Blackadders has appointed a new head of residential property to its Glasgow office.

Karen Fulton joins as a partner and will be responsible for building on the firm’s residential property credentials and diverse portfolio of clients.

A property lawyer for more than 25 years, predominantly in the Glasgow area, Ms Fulton joins from Harper Macleod. She was previously a partner with its legacy firm Bird Semple.

Lindsay Darroch, board member and head of property at Blackadders, commented: "Investing in our residential property team is part of our strategic growth plan for Glasgow and that of the firm across Scotland. Karen is a highly-respected lawyer with extensive experience, and having worked with Karen on a number of occasions over the years, I know our clients in the West Coast will be very well served. She is a great addition to the team."

Karen, who is a member of Glasgow Conveyancing Forum, said: “Blackadders has established an impressive presence in the region and I look forward to working with the team to further develop its foothold in the marketplace. Through its very personalised approach and depth of service, it has the feel of a small firm but one which is supported by a national backdrop with a breadth of expertise and experience across the company.”

Dundee-headquartered Blackadders has offices in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Perth, as well as Glasgow.
