bto adds to litigation team with solicitor advocate hire

29th June 2015 | careers

Solicitor advocate Robin Macpherson has joined bto solicitors as a consultant.

Mr Macpherson had practised on his own account since last November, after leaving Brodies where he was a partner and head of corporate litigation. He has over 30 years’ of dispute resolution experience, spanning most aspects of civil and commercial litigation but specialising in property, contract, professional negligence, insolvency and general commercial litigation. He is accredited as a specialist by the Law Society of Scotland in both insolvency law and professional negligence.

At bto he will be based in Edinburgh, working with partners Tony Jones and Paul Motion, and will play an active role in further developing the commercial dispute resolution side of the practice.

Chairman Alan Borthwick commented: “At bto we have one of Scotland’s largest and strongest litigation practices, and Robin’s appointment reinforces that breadth and depth of talent. Robin also joins our solicitor advocacy team which now offers the services of 13 solicitor advocates to our clients."
