Burges Salmon to become Society's neighbours in office move

3rd October 2018 | practice management

UK commercial law firm Burges Salmon is taking office space in the same building as the Law Society of Scotland.

The firm announced that it has secured 6,229 sq ft of space on the second floor at Atria One, Morrison Street in Edinburgh’s Exchange business district, next door to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, on a 10 year lease. Other tenants at Atria One include PwC, EY, EDF and Brewin Dolphin.

Burges Salmon expects to take occupancy during 2019 after a design and fit out programme to include office workspace and a client suite, focused on enabling collaborative working with its expanding Scottish client base.

Managing partner Roger Bull commented: “Our decision to open an office in Edinburgh is first and foremost about recognising and responding to the needs of our key clients across a range of sectors. This initiative will support the continued growth of the firm’s successful and longstanding Scottish practice and enhance our ability to support those key clients in Scotland.

“In conjunction with our existing Bristol and London offices, this new Edinburgh office will support our delivery of excellent client service across the whole of the UK. We are committed to delivering a modern and high quality office fit out to provide an outstanding working environment for our people.”
