Burness Paul hires employment pair from Clyde & Co

Commercial law firm Burness Paull has added to its employment practice with the hire of a consultand and a senior associate from Clyde & Co. 

Sandy Kemp, a leading employment practitioner in Aberdeen, joins the firm as consultant, while Robert Phillips, also based in Aberdeen, has been appoionted as a senior associate.

With more than 30 years’ experience, Mr Kemp is both an accredited specialist in employment law and a solicitor advocate. With appearances in the Court of Session and the UK Supreme Court to his name, he has a reputation for handling complex issues in the oil and gas sector including TUPE, business reorganisations, working time and discrimination cases.

Mr Phillips also works predominantly in the oil and gas sector, and with more than nine years’ experience, he has developed expertise in tribunal representation, outsourcing litigation and corporate immigration.
