Digby Brown named number one SME

4th March 2015

Digby Brown Solicitors, Scotland’s largest personal injury law practice, have been named the number one Small and Medium sized Enterprise (SME) in Scotland.

The firm received the award at the Business Insider Scottish SME 300 Awards 2015 held in Glasgow. The award winners were chosen from the top 300 leading companies with turnovers between £8m and £20m listed in Business Insider last autumn.

Fraser Oliver, Digby Brown partner and chief executive, received the award on behalf of the firm. He highlighted Digby Brown’s work to adapt to changes in the Scottish legal market and develop the business infrastructure needed to successfully represent thousands of people a year across Scotland.

Fraser Oliver said: “The legal marketplace in Scotland has changed, both in terms of how law firms generate business and the avenues open to clients seeking access to justice.
Our continued success has been built on adapting to meet the new legal marketplace, maintaining a constant focus on our client’s experience with us and having the strength in depth and capability to achieve the best results on their behalf.

“We give our clients an affordable way to obtain access to justice using our Compensate funding scheme. Our funding model underpins our work and protects our clients from financial risk as a result of seeking our help after an accident.

“This award is recognition of the work which has been done at every level of Digby Brown to build a successful, sustainable and client-focused personal injury and employment law practice. It is the latest milestone in the ongoing development of our business and one which is the result of a real team effort by everyone in the firm.”
