DWF makes partner hire as new team launches

20th June 2016 | careers

Legal firm DWF has announced a partner hire to head its new counter fraud team in Scotland.

Jill Sinclair joins the firm from Harper Macleod. She will work within DWF’s national counter fraud team led by Lorraine Carolan, former national head of claims validation at DAC Beachcroft.

Jill has significant experience in all aspects of civil litigation, specialising in high-value personal injury and motor insurance claims. She has been heavily involved in the creation of case management systems to improve efficiency, process mapping and alignment with service level agreements, expertise which supports DWF’s integrated suite of service delivery models.

The appointment reflects DWF’s investment in the national fraud team to meet increasing client demand and follows other recent appointments, including solicitor Justine Wilson from DAC Beachcroft to the team in Scotland.

Andrew Lothian, DWF’s head of general insurance in Scotland, commented: “The recent appointments come at a time when we are seeing the signs of increased fraud in the Scottish insurance market across all lines of business, including casualty, motor and the public sector. Launching the counter fraud team in Scotland will allow us to protect our clients better against the growing fraud threat, leveraging the DWF analytics and intel platform, allied to the team’s local knowledge and experience, to provide a unique, integrated offering.”
