Former sole principal joins Boyd Legal

27th September 2017 | careers

Boyd Legal has appointed Nigel Geddes as a senior solicitor in charge of the conveyancing team at its Kirkcaldy office.

Mr Geddes joins the Edinburgh headquartered practice after 24 years in the profession, including years of running his own practices, Geddes & Co and then NCG Solicitors. He has also held a part time position as a tutor at the University of Strathclyde.

He commented: “After spending more than two decades as a self employed practitioner the timing was right for me to change it up and join a team."

He will join the former Gibson Spears Dow & Son, Kirkcaldy office, of the Fife practice acquired by Boyd Legal last year.

Diana Boyd, partner at Boyd Legal, said: “Nigel has strong connections in Fife and he will work closely with Peter Aitken, our longstanding solicitor in Kirkcaldy.

“We are thrilled to have him join the team. It is perfect timing for him. He sees opportunities for taking on new business in Fife where the legal landscape has seen major changes in recent times."
