Gilson Gray bolsters employment team

10th August 2016 | employment

Gilson Gray has lured employment specialist Stuart Robertson away from Ledingham Chalmers, making him the latest in a series of well-known names to join the young full service legal firm since its launch in 2014.

Robertson said: “I’m delighted to be joining Gilson Gray and I have been very impressed by its culture and client list. The firm has been able to position itself in the market at this stage of its development on the basis of good service and maintaining strong client relationships.”

Having also worked with Paull and Williamsons, Robertson qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and has accrued 20 years’ experience acting for FTSE 100 companies and public sector organizations. He is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in employment law and discrimination law as well as being ranked by Chambers Directory in the field of employment law. He is also accredited by Core Mediation as a mediator.

Head of Employment Law at Gilson Gray, Graham Millar, says Robertson’s appointment signals the firm’s nationwide ambition.

He said: “I’m delighted to be welcoming Stuart to the Employment Law team. He is widely regarded as a top operator and especially well known for the quality of his work across the North East. He has great contacts across the private and public sectors in the region and nationally. We are committed to becoming one of the leading providers of employment law services in Scotland and this recent appointment is a key step in our development."
