Keeper of the Registers to retire in March

4th December 2017 | careers

The Keeper of the Registers of Scotland, Sheenagh Adams, is to retire from her position in March 2018, Registers of Scotland has confirmed.

Ms Adams joined Registers as managing director in 2006, becoming Keeper in 2009. During her time in office, she has overseen a process of ongoing change as Registers has pursued its digital transformation programme. Registers has also been set the target by the Scottish Government of having all land in Scotland on the Land Register by 2024.

This year RoS has celebrated the 400th anniversary of the Register of Sasines and launched the ScotLIS online information tool, among other landmarks.

Speaking about her decision, Ms Adams said: "I know that I am leaving RoS in a great place, ready to move forward with its change programme, delivering real value for all of our stakeholders. The achievements made over the last 12 years have been in no small part down to the hard work of colleagues across the business and I thank them for their support.”
