Miller Hendry takes on staff from closed Crieff firm

4th July 2017 | careers , practice management

Perthshire legal firm Miller Hendry has announced the addition of two new faces to its Crieff office.

David J Smart has joined Miller Hendry as an associate following the closure of local practice Graham & Finlayson after the retiral of their senior partner, Robert B A Bolton. His colleague, experienced paralegal Liz Dawson, is also making the move.

Mr Smart, a past president and currently treasurer of the Rotary Club of Crieff, joined Graham & Finlayson in 1989, becoming a partner in 1991. He handles domestic conveyancing and general chamber work.

A spokesperson for Miller Hendry said: "These appointments underline our commitment to Crieff and the wider Strathearn area. We always aim to recruit, retain and develop the highest calibre lawyers and support staff, who can in turn nurture long-lasting relationships with our clients.

"David brings nearly 30 years of outstanding legal knowledge to Miller Hendry and I am delighted to welcome David and Liz to the team."

Following the closure of Graham & Finlayson, all the deeds, wills and documents held by the firm will also transfer to Miller Hendry's Crieff office.
