More senior moves as Haywood and Johnson join Lindsays

2nd November 2015 | careers

Lindsays has today announced two prominent partner hires, as commercial litigator Brent Haywood joins the Edinburgh team and private client lawyer Grant Johnson joins the Dundee office.

A solicitor advocate and mediator, Mr Haywood moves from DWF where he was executive partner for Scotland. He has particular experience in intellectual property, pension disputes, procurement challenges and regulatory matters such as bribery and proceeds of crime.

Mr Johnson, previously a partner with Thorntons, is an experienced private client practitioner, specialising in wills, trusts, executries, inheritance tax planning, and issues affecting elderly clients such as powers of attorney and guardianships. He is also involved in the setting up and ongoing administration of a number of charitable and non-charitable Trusts.

Alasdair Cummings, Lindsays' managing partner commented: “We are really pleased to welcome Brent and Grant to Lindsays. Their expertise and knowledge will be an excellent addition to our growing partnership.”

Last week Lindsays recruited commercial property associate Carolyn Montgomery from Brodies.

Lindsays, which celebrates its 200th anniversary this year, now has 40 partners and more than 200 staff in offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee (where it is known as RSB Lindsays) and North Berwick.
