Morton Fraser promotes four to partner

20th April 2015 | careers

Legal firm Morton Fraser today announced the promotion of four solicitors to partner from 1 May 2015.

Iain Young (corporate), David Stewart (commercial property), Brian Macfarlane (housebuilding) and Lucia Clark (family law) bring to 11 the number of partner promotions at the firm over the past year, and its partner strength to 45.

Congratulating the four, chief executive Chris Harte commented: “These promotions reflect the forward momentum we are enjoying across the firm’s corporate, real estate and family law teams and where our strength in depth is clearly driving new business.

“Iain has unrivalled expertise in crowdfunding, having sat as a director on the board of Scotland’s leading crowdfunding company, and since he joined Morton Fraser, the firm is now recognised by Chambers for sports law. David and Brian have both been instrumental in leading high value deals for the commercial property and housebuilder teams. Clients are on the acquisition trail and their expertise is vital. Lucia becomes the third partner in our family law practice, where her specialist knowledge for cross border and international law builds on the team’s extensive skills."
