Partner hire kickstarts Gilson Gray family law division

4th May 2017 | careers , practice management

Legal firm Gilson Gray is launching a family law division, headed by a newly hired partner.

Philippa Cunniff, who joins from HBJ Gateley where she was a partner and head of family law, has been tasked with building the new team.

Ms Cunniff, who is dual qualified, brings more than 16 years of specialist family law experience. She will be joined by paralegal Michelle McNaughton, with whom she has 15 years’ working experience, and further hires are expected shortly.

Managing partner Glen Gilson commented: “It is our goal to be the best law firm in Scotland. Philippa is without question one of the country’s very best family lawyers. With her appointment we are able to offer one of the top family law services in the country, in line with our overarching ambitions for the business."

Launched three years ago with a swathe of partner hires, Gilson Gray remains ambitious to reach into further sectors of the Scottish legal market.
