Partner retires after 40 years at Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace

6th June 2016 | careers

North east legal firm Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace, has announced the retirement of Elizabeth Merson, partner and branch principal at the firm’s Inverurie office, after more than 40 years with the firm.

Ms Merson started her career with George Raeburn in 1975, working from the firm’s Ellon office, and over the years has worked in all of the firm’s branch offices.

Since 2010 she has been branch principal at the Inverurie office, working principally in the sale and purchase of residential property.

She hands over the reins to her daughter Jane Merson and colleague Ian Angus, both qualified solicitors.

Keith Allan, the firm’s managing partner, commented: “We are all very grateful to Elizabeth for her dedication and loyalty to the firm and to our partners, employees and clients alike. Thanks to her excellent stewardship of our local office in Inverurie over the years, our clients can be assured that the excellent service provided by Elizabeth and her team will continue. It has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside such a popular and caring person as Elizabeth and she will be greatly missed.”
