Private client partner hire for Balfour+Manson

8th June 2017 | careers

Legal firm Balfour+Manson has strengthened its private client team with the lateral hire of partner Karen Phillips from Brodies, as from 7 June.

Admitted to the WS Society last week, Ms Phillips is a specialist in areas including incapacity law, care and personal injury trusts. She also has experience in wills and complex executries, tax and estate planning and charities. She is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

She said she was excited to be joining a firm which took a holistic approach to legal services: its client welfare team includes non-lawyers to offer advice on care and realising the best value from clients' possessions.

Elaine Motion, executive chairman of Balfour+Manson, commented: "Karen brings tremendous knowledge, skill and experience to support our main areas of business – both private client and personal injury work – and is a great addition to the firm."
