Promotions round announced at WJM

10th December 2018 | careers

Solicitor firm Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie has announced a total of seven internal promotions following its recent merger with CCW Business Lawyers.

Paul Adams, JP Campbell and Alan Bauchop have each been promoted to senior associate, while there are also three new associates and one legal director.

Mr Adams joined WJM’s Commercial Property team in Inverness at the start of the year from another Inverness firm, having previous experience both in private practice and with the Highland Council.

Mr Campbell, who also joined WJM at the start of 2018, has strong commercial experience, having moved from corporate insolvency work in Edinburgh to become a private client solicitor in Inverness. He advises business families on succession objectives and estate and IHT planning, as well as providing general private client advice.

Mr Bauchop joined WJM in 2013 and now has over 30 years of experience. Specialising in commercial property and commercial securities, he also provides commercial property support to the firm’s corporate team.

In addition, Graham Adams (Residential Property) has been promoted to legal director, and Karen Crothers (Private Client), Fiona Kempsell (Residential Property) and Stephen Grant (Corporate) have all been promoted to associate.

Managing partner Fraser Gillies commented: “These promotions are all very well earned. We place significant importance on our developing talent within the firm and I’m delighted to see Paul, JP, Alan, Graham, Fiona, Karen and Stephen all progressing up through the firm. WJM is in a period of growth and each of these promotions will strengthen our offering in key areas of practice.”
