Real estate senior associate appointment for Weightmans

Legal firm Weightmans (Scotland) has appointed real estate solicitor Afshan Khan as a senior associate.

Ms Khan joins the firm from a spell as in-house legal counsel with Academy House Services. Qualified since 2003, her experience also includes HBJ Gateley and Biggart Baillie as well as in-house with commercial property concern The Gladman Group. She specialises in a broad range of commercial real estate work, with particular expertise in acquisitions and disposals.

Welcoming Ms Khan along with new trainee Erin McLafferty, Bryan Finlayson, Weightmans' head of real estate commented: “We have enjoyed a period of good growth over the past year, and with an established Scottish client base, and a focused business development programme, we will continue to grow our business from the bottom up.
